The Ways of Jesus -Patience
What is setting the pace in our lives, fear, pressure, or God?
What does it look like to trust God when everything around us demands an immediate response? In John 11:1-15, Jesus hears that Lazarus is sick, yet He waits two more days before going to him. His delay can be hard to understand, but it reveals something powerful about trusting God’s timing.
Jesus didn’t ignore the urgency; He simply refused to let it control His pace. He moved when the Father directed Him. This message challenges us to ask: What is setting the pace in our lives, fear, pressure, or God? When urgency drives us, we can make decisions that should have been shaped by prayer. Jesus shows us a better way: trusting God’s timing and following His direction, one step at a time.
