The Ways of Jesus

What does it really mean to surrender and follow Jesus? In Matthew 4:18–22, Peter, Andrew, James, and John heard Jesus’ call and responded immediately. They left their nets, their boats, and what was familiar to follow Him.
Their story invites us to look at our own lives and ask, "What are we holding onto that may be keeping us from fully following Jesus?" It could be a past hurt, a habit, a relationship, or simply the things that keep distracting us from God.
The rich young ruler reminds us how difficult surrender can be when something has a stronger hold on our hearts than our desire to follow Jesus.
Today, Jesus still calls us to let go, trust Him, and take the next step. What do you need to leave behind?
